Accessibility statement

This statement applies to MTDLite (mtdlite.co.uk). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service, and we've worked through a dedicated accessibility pass to get there.

Target standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA.

Current conformance status

MTDLite is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. We've audited and fixed the pages a client goes through most: the homepage, sign-in, dashboard, quarterly filing worksheet, filing form, annual summary, and admin sign-in. That pass covered accessible names on interactive controls, form label associations, heading structure, table headers, colour contrast, and keyboard operability of dynamic elements (collapsible detail rows, tooltips, auto-submitting filters).

The rest of the admin area (client management, invoice lookup, mailing list, HMRC sandbox tooling) has not yet had the same dedicated audit pass. It's used only by us, not the public, but we intend to bring it up to the same standard.

Known limitations

  • Some admin-only pages haven't been individually audited (see above).
  • A handful of native browser <select> dropdowns can't be automatically verified for contrast by our testing tools, since they render using your browser's own control styling rather than ours — we've checked these use unmodified, standard styling with no overrides that would cause a problem.

How to report an accessibility problem

If you find something on MTDLite that's difficult to use because of a disability, email [email protected] with:

  • The page or feature affected
  • What happened, and what you expected to happen
  • Any assistive technology you were using (screen reader, browser, etc.)

We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 working days.

Technical information

This statement was last reviewed following an accessibility audit and fix pass in July 2026, checked with automated tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard testing.
